Lighting up Chelsea Flower Show

I have loved reading interior design books all of my life. I have a huge collection at home, gathered over many years. A stylist and author I have followed and admired for many years is Selina Lake. So when I received an email from the lady herself I was very excited to say the least. Explaining that she had been commisioned by Alitex (partners with Kew gardens, supplier of National Trust Greenhouses), to style their greenhouses for RHS Chelsea Flower show was the icing on the cake.

An image styled by Selina Lake from her website www.selinalake.co.ukhttp://selinalake.co.uk/

The first thing I did was to call my Mum (An avid and very talented gardener) to squeal with excitement. When I replied to Selina telling her I had just done this, she told me she had done exactly the same thing upon being commissioned by Alitex. I love the fact that my styling heroine reacted in the same way as me.

Anyway, here are a few images of the neon’s at Chelsea that Selina has sent me prior to Chelsea opening. I’m visiting on the Saturday with my husband and Mum and Dad. I cant wait to get loads of inspiration for my new garden. You can follow progress of my house renovation here. I will add to this gallery after I’ve visited on Saturday.

The Alitex Greenhouse at Chelsea 2019 featuring our pink neon

Selina choose the phrase #greenhousegoals in white and #floralparty in pink. I love the way she has styled them both. The #greenhousegoals neon looks amazing against the lush ferns in the Alitex Greenhouse. The floral party neon really pops against the black cladding and the greenhouse has been set up for a beautiful floral lunch. Both greenhouses look like spaces I would happily have lunch with my Mum. What a great time Selina and I would have with our Mum’s here for a lazy Sunday.

You can see our neon’s in situ at Chelsea flower show 2019, stand 334, main avenue until 25th May 2019.
